LITIGATION SUPPORT ANALYST

Job Description
Law firm is seeking a Litigation Support Analyst with three or more years of relevant experience in a litigation support environment with at least two years of Summation experience.   Litigation Support Analyst will be responsible for providing technological assistance in the discovery, collection, analysis, database management (internal and external data repositories), and document production of electronic content. In addition, this position will provide application support and training for Summation and trial presentation tools used by the Firm staff. The ideal candidate knows the "litigation case lifecycle" and will provide the technical support and training to help the Firm to achieve the desired outcomes.

Job Requirements
Duties will include assisting with the recommendation for electronic data sources and implementing procedures to collect data for Pretrial Conferences; maintaining, loading and assuring quality control of document databases, images, load files and any other features of the databases or software; troubleshooting problems with databases, load files or issues relating to electronic discovery applications or specialized applications as needed; providing coordination and standards for discovery data formatting and file creation from third party vendors; provide user support and administration of third party data repositories and providing support and training to Firm lawyers and staff on discovery issues or specialized applications as needed.

Must have at least two years' Summation experience and three or more years' litigation experience.

MANAGING DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

Job Description
The Managing Director of Finance & Administration is responsible for providing efficient and cost effective solutions for the financial and administrative services and strategic objectives.  Provide direction and management oversight for financial planning, budget, finance/operational controls and reporting, investment oversight, human resource, information technologies, procurement and risk management. Support business operations and measure and manage administrative and operating costs.  Continually evaluate best practices in comparison to internal systems and needed resources, with an eye toward both future needs and budget parameters.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Serve as a strategic business partner to the Deputy Executive Directors and leadership team on the organization's financial, administrative and operational services and processes, with a goal of continuously developing and improving systems, processes and services. 

Lead, plan, direct and coordinate all finance and administration activities to achieve maximum service levels in a cost effective manner.

Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting materials and metrics.

Oversee budgeting, capital planning, investments, financial forecasting, cash flow and accounts payable/receivable.

Evaluate and improve  information technology infrastructure, implementing new technologies to support key operational capabilities as required for future growth, and to support and drive key human resource and financial initiatives.

Direct and monitor the risk management program.

Design, implementation, communication and coordination of the procurement function.

Recruitment and performance management of finance and administrative staff.  The Managing Director, Finance & Administration will also partner with Deputy Executive Directors and the rest of the leadership team to ensure that the focus remain on the organization’s mission while establishing a positive growth culture that motivates and retains talent.

Excellent customer relation, negotiation skills with demonstrated experience taking ownership and being decisive and firm with contract and consulting vendors. Demonstrated negotiation and project management experience resulting in increased output from technical and support staff.

Good decision making skills that demonstrate strong business sense with long-term profitable outcomes.

Strong oral/written communication skills. Experience and able to makes clear and convincing presentations on the spot or in a formal setting.  Listens and clarify effectively. Communicate clearly and concisely.

Able to develop and mentor direct reports effectively into leadership roles.

Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.

 

Education/Work Experience:

MBA in Business, Finance and Administration or relevant experience.

Minimum of 13 years management experience with full organizational accounting and finance responsibilities which include oversight for shared services: information technology, procurement, human resources and risk management.

Experience leading planning efforts and supporting operationally effective organizations that have multiple functional areas.

Technologically savvy, with experience overseeing information technology staff and/or vendors.  Experience providing direction and implementing technology solutions, communicate resources needed for key activities and performance against plans.

Experience in procurement and contract management strategies.

Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting including compliance, budget, and investments/resource development.

Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems.

Experience leading organization development and human resources management.

Proven effectiveness managing others, empowering others in decision making and execution.

Experience effectively communicating information, including presentations to senior management,  customers and other key stakeholders.

Maritime experience strongly preferred.  Prior successful experience leading change in a fast pace/growth environment a plus.
